dc.description.abstractSe analizó para el canal de distribución retail en Colombia la tendencia de los alimentos fortificados con micronutrientes de manera voluntaria, a partir de la base Euromonitor Internacional. Se encontraron 314 alimentos adicionados con micronutrientes, principalmente con: vitamina A 14%, vitamina C 13%, vitamina B9 11%, Hierro 41%, Zinc 29% y Calcio 24%. Se encontró que solo la pasta de una compañía presenta fortificación voluntaria con los micronutrientes: vitamina A, C, E, Selenio y Zinc con fortificación adicional de Ácido Fólico y Hierro. Los cereales para el desayuno tienen adición de Ácido Fólico de 100% del VD sin embargo, no puede establecerse riesgos sobre la salud de la población sin conocer el consumo de este micronutriente en Colombia.
