The ICT competence training strategy for teacher professional development

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine how the training strategy of the "Education in the Cloud" Project of the University of La Sabana, contributed to the professional development of teachers in the capital district (Bogota-Colombia) in ICT Competences, to achieve this was carried out a mixed study of descriptive-exploratory scope. The study sample was 280 teachers belonging to 16 official institutions. The results showed an increase in the levels of ICT competence and transformation in their educational practices

El propósito de esta investigación fue determinar cómo la estrategia de formación del Proyecto "Educación en la nube" de la Universidad de La Sabana, contribuyó al desarrollo profesional de los docentes del distrito capital (Bogota-Colombia) en Competencias TIC, para lograrlo se realizó un estudio mixto de alcance descriptivo-exploratorio. La muestra del estudio fue de 280 profesores pertenecientes a 16 instituciones oficiales. Los resultados mostraron un aumento en los niveles de la competencia TIC y transformacion en sus prácticas educativas.
