dc.description.abstractLa mortalidad de pacientes llevados a reemplazo de cadera a un año es 12 al 30%, reconociéndose factores de riesgo: transfusión de glóbulos rojos, técnica anestésica, complicaciones trombóticas, comorbilidades asociadas y tiempo desde la fractura hasta cirugía. Estudio de corte transversal. Revisión de 377 historias clínicas encontrándose mortalidad del 4.5%, asociación de mortalidad en los pacientes transfundidos, anestesia general, ASA mayor a 3, complicaciones trombóticas. Prevalencia de anestesia neuroaxial es similar a la literatura, eventos trombóticos tuvieron baja prevalencia; corrección quirúrgica antes de 48 horas de ocurrido trauma no hubo. En conclusión la mortalidad fue similar a la reportada en la literatura al igual que la asociación de los factores de riesgo identificables, excepto la corrección quirúrgica temprana.es_CO
