2024Resumen
The research addresses the relationship between discourse and graphic design in the commercial scenario. The storefront signs as pieces of graphic design displayed on the facades of the businesses are analyzed to demonstrate their persuasive language with places and people. From the analysis of the visual discourse, emphasis is placed on the compositional elements of the storefront signs located in the Zona Rosa of Bogotá, this in dialogue with the facades and the sociocultural aspects that are exposed in the area; so that the visual discourses make sense to deliberate their message. The results allow us to suggest that urban commercial signage reflects the dynamics of society. © 2024 The Author(s).
