dc.description.abstractLearning strategies to foster vocabulary in EFL, is a systematic literature review that focuses on updated research papers from 2012 to 2016, with the objective of identifying and analyzing learning strategies that are used to foster vocabulary in basic EFL students. In order to achieve the aim of this research, a systematic literature review was followed. This type of research is a method of gathering, analyzing and presenting the implications of different strategies for enhancing vocabulary. The investigation focuses on the latest literature on vocabulary learning and learning strategies that examine differentiated ways for learning and applicable tools, more specifically the literature on vocabulary learning strategies. Rubin’s taxonomy was used to organize the findings and draw conclusions. It can be determined, based on the main findings, that the mixture of regular and particular strategies, the teacher’s awareness of the target vocabulary plus student’s motivation make in all an appreciable difference in vocabulary learning.es_CO
