El trabajo se centra en el fortalecemiento del ethos de los directivos en dos instituciones educativas distritales de Bogotá. Para esto se tomo como referencia la autoevaluación institucional, evidenciando los aspectos a fortalecer. Se hace una propuesta en cinco etapas que le permite a los directivos desarrollar conocimientos y competencias, apuntando al mejoramiento de sus virtudes, bajo la configuración del ethos. Today educational institutions are faced with the new challenges of the globalized
world which leads to rethink the role of teacher leadership, principal and coordinator.
Consequently, it is necessary to identify which leadership practices that occur within
institutions and impacting the corporate culture are.
The research has as main objective to make a proposal to strengthen the leadership
from the configuration of the management ethos, to improve the culture of two
official educational institutions of Bogotá, the first of which , urban , Colegio Entre
Nubes and second , rural the Colegio Campestre Jaime Garzón.
By research methodology descriptive review and analysis of institutional documents
and questionnaires application was made; the target population was 2 principals , 6
coordinators and 132 teachers from the two institutions as a result of the process of
characterization is evident at the level of the two institutions has weakened culture.
From the results of the diagnostic phase a proposal structured in five modules which
links the different levels of the educational community to strengthen the leadership,
working from the leadership ethos, to positively impact organizational culture arises.
