dc.description.abstract	La elevada mortalidad de la población de alto riesgo perioperatorio es superior a cualquier otra población o tipo de Cirugía. Se desconocen estadísticas colombianas; y cuales factores de riesgo llevan a este desenlace. Se realizó un estudio observacional analítico tipo casos y controles anidado en una cohorte histórica de 232 pacientes del Hospital Universitario de La Samaritana durante dos años. Se analizaron variables transoperatorias, se efectuó análisis de regresión logística univariado y multivariado realizándose los cálculos de riesgo con intervalos de confianza 95%. Las variables consideradas en nuestro estudio como la presencia de Choque Séptico, IAM perioperatorio, Choque hipovolémico y Transfusión de GRE, fueron estadísticamente significativas para explicar el desenlace final de los pacientes. Con una tasa de mortalidad 18.1%.	es_CO
