dc.description.abstractEl propósito de este documento es evaluar la relación entre cultura y desarrollo económico, Derechos Humanos y desarrollo económico. Para tal objetivo se usa la base de datos World Values Survey, CIRI Data Project y las estadísticas de la OCDE para los años 2005-2007; se evalúan 142 regiones que pertenecen a 12 países seleccionados de la OCDE. Las estimaciones muestran un claro efecto por parte de la cultura y Derechos Humanos hacia el desarrollo económico. A pesar de que estas dos variables afectan de manera positiva a la variable de interés, también se demuestra como mayores niveles de respeto a los Derechos Humanos están relacionados a un menor efecto de la cultura.
