2024Resumen
The presence of foreign bodies in the liver is an uncommon condition. This report details the case of a patient with a hepatic abscess caused by a fishbone, which migrated from the gastrointestinal tract. The clinical manifestations were nonspecific, making the timely diagnosis and early surgical intervention crucial in reducing hospital stay, the risk of complications, and mortality. © 2024 Asociación Colombiana de Gastroenterología.
