Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease that affects millions of people worldwide. It is a significant cause of disability and deterioration in quality of life since it progressively leads to a loss or decrease in joint function, characterized by mechanical pain that is frequently associated with stiffness. Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) has been established as a transformative solution in the treatment of advanced degenerative diseases of the knee, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and posttraumatic arthritis1.
