dc.description.abstractThis master’s project is framed in the use of techniques and tools of Operations Management applied to the process of a Distribution Center of the manufacturing textile sector in Latin America, Colombia, Bogotá D.C. How methodology was chosen to divide the general operation of the Distribution Center in 4 processes: Reception, Storage, Preparation and Dispatch. The main findings identified the absence of qualitative and quantitative models in the organization for efficient decision making. This paper details proposals, models and a simulation based on operational redesign, all focused on generating value to the organization through proposals that provide visibility of the status of the processes (Key Performance Indicators).en
dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de grado está enmarcado en el uso de técnicas y herramientas de la Gerencia de Operaciones aplicado a los procesos de un centro de distribución del sector textil-manufacturero en Latinoamérica, Colombia, Bogotá D.C. Como metodología se optó por dividir la operación general del centro de distribución en cuatro procesos: Recepción, Almacenamiento, Alistamiento y Despacho. Como hallazgos principales se identifica la ausencia de modelos cualitativos y cuantitativos en la organización para realizar la toma de decisiones de manera eficiente. En el presente trabajo se detallan propuestas, modelos y una simulación en función del rediseño operacional, todas las anteriores enfocadas a generar valor a la organización por medio de propuestas que brindan visibilidad del estado de los procesos (Indicadores Clave de Desempeño).es_CO
