dc.description.abstract | La Esclerosis Múltiple es una enfermedad autoinmune neurodegenerativa del sistema nervioso central (SNC) de carácter desmielinizante. Tiene una baja prevalencia en el mundo, pero genera una alta carga de enfermedad, y disminuciones significativas en la calidad de vida y morbilidad. Gran parte del tratamiento está basado en fármacos de alto costo que actúan como modificadores de la enfermedad. Esta revisión panorámica busca describir el beneficio de una estrategia económica y practica como lo es el ejercicio, en la calidad de vida de pacientes adultos con Esclerosis múltiple, así como brindar información sobre la prescripción más frecuentemente asociada a desenlaces positivos en este aspecto y determinar los dominios de calidad de vida que mejoran tras la intervención. Métodos: Esta revisión panorámica sigue las 6 fases de la metodología de Arksey y O´Malley y las recomendaciones de Levac et al. del 2010 y Joanna Briggs Institute Reviewers. Se realizó una búsqueda iterativa de información en 6 bases de datos bibliográficas. Las búsquedas se realizaron empleando los términos MeSH “multiple sclerosis”, “exercise”, “quality of life”. Los estudios fueron seleccionados por 2 revisores y su contenido se analizó según la metodología PRISMA Resultados: Se obtuvieron 1. 707 documentos en la búsqueda final, tras la aplicación de los criterios de inclusión y exclusión se seleccionaron 88 artículos para su análisis. | es_CO |
