dc.description.abstract | El propósito de esta investigación fue evaluar la eficacia de la intervención breve Play Nicely para disminuir la presencia de utilización de castigo físico y las creencias sobre sus efectos positivos, en una muestra de 66 padres y madres colombianos con hijos entre los 2 y 6 años que residen en Bogotá y municipios de Cundinamarca. Es una investigación de tipo cuasiexperimental con pretest y postest, con grupo de intervención (n=37) y grupo de control (n=29). Los instrumentos utilizados fueron la escala de medición de creencias sobre los efectos positivos del castigo físico en niños y la escala de asalto físico en la versión español del CTSPC. Se presentó a los padres durante una única sesión de intervención virtual, 8 opciones interactivas del programa Play Nicely (10 minutos). Se encontró alta prevalencia de utilización de castigo físico reportada por los padres (81,8%), así como, correlaciones estadísticamente significativas entre las creencias sobre los efectos positivos del castigo físico y la utilización de esta práctica. Aproximadamente un mes después de aplicada la intervención, demostró disminuir significativamente la utilización de castigo físico en el grupo de intervención (p=.009), y disminuir la creencia “El castigo es la mejor alternativa para controlar el comportamiento de los niños” (p=0.010) en este mismo grupo. Se concluye que, la intervención breve Play Nicely muestra eficacia en la reducción de la utilización del castigo físico informada por los padres de niños en primera infancia, resultando ser una herramienta eficaz en poco tiempo y a bajo costo. | es_CO |
