dc.description.abstract | La tasa de lactancia materna exclusiva neonatal en el mundo es baja. El instrumento de evaluación de la lactancia “Ayuda de trabajo para la observación de la Lactancia Materna”, permite observar objetivamente cómo se está llevando a cabo el proceso de lactancia en el binomio, permitiendo identificar de forma oportuna riesgos y problemas para realizar intervenciones. Objetivos: Caracterizar la técnica de la lactancia materna y explorar los posibles factores asociados a la técnica en alojamiento conjunto. Metodología: Estudio de corte transversal. Se incluyeron n=120 neonatos de bajo riesgo al nacer con estancia en alojamiento conjunto. La técnica de lactancia materna se evalúo mediante el instrumento “Ayuda de trabajo para la Observación de la Lactancia Materna”. Se categorizó según el resultado en efectiva y no efectiva. Se analizó la información con estadística descriptiva. Para explorar los posibles factores asociados se realizaron análisis bivariados y un modelo de regresión logística múltiple para modelar las diferentes asociaciones entre los grupos. Resultados: Se incluyeron en total n=120 binomios. El 100% de los neonatos recibieron lactancia temprana y se tuvo una prevalencia de 51.7% de lactancia materna exclusiva en alojamiento conjunto. El 33.3% presentaron problemas de lactancia, siendo las más frecuente la hipogalactosis. Solo el 6.7% de los binomios tuvieron el 100% de los signos evaluados. En el análisis bivariado, el número de hijos vivos, la paridad, la experiencia de lactancia materna previa, la vía del nacimiento y los problemas asociados a la lactancia fueron factores asociados significativamente con la técnica. En el análisis multivariado las madres sin experiencia previa de lactancia y el nacimiento abdominal, se asocian con una menor probabilidad de tener una técnica efectiva. | es_CO |
