By exploring the experiences in the design and implementation of enterprise
architectures carried out by the governments of Australia, the United Kingdom and
Singapore, the Colombian State, through the Ministry of ICT, in its purpose of
implementing the IT Architecture Colombia and enabling the Digital Government
Strategy of the Colombian State, built the first enterprise architecture reference
framework for IT management as a proposal for the improvement of the general
management of government entities through ICT. In an effort to know how this work
is to be carried out within the Joint Department of Communications (CGDJ6), the
entity in charge of ICT management in the General Command of the Armed Forces,
the need arises to carry out an assessment of the conformity of the current
architecture in this dependency with respect to the guidelines in each of the domains
defined by the Enterprise Architecture Reference Framework for IT management
(EARF) in order to identify gaps with respect to the proposed model and design a
proposed route map aimed to minimize or eliminate these non-conformities, showing
the path that must be followed to reach that desired state of development of the
enterprise architecture.
