dc.description.abstractEl tema de esta tesis doctoral es la teoría de la elección y el aporte que las ideas recientes sobre educación emocional pueden hacerle al ámbito educativo. Nuestro propósito es enriquecer su aspecto emocional mediante algunas consideraciones teóricas en el área. Esto es necesario dado el potencial que tiene la teoría de la elección para ser utilizada en procesos de educación emocional en instituciones educativas que la suscriben como filosofía de enseñanza. Nuestra motivación para desarrollar este proyecto radica en nuestra percatación de que la educación emocional está subvalorada y poco desarrollada en las instituciones que emplean esta teoría como base de su proyecto educativo. Así pues, el aporte teórico de este trabajo es enriquecer la teoría de la elección, particularmente, en su dimensión emocional. Para lograr esto, se reflexionó acerca de los aspectos que permiten adoptar la teoría de la elección de Glasser (1999) en el ámbito educativo y sobre las características constitutivas de las emociones que permiten su educación.es_CO
