Through a literature review, the factors that influence the effectiveness of female leadership were investigated; regarding hard results, the thematic axis was the implementation of the strategy, and with respect to soft results, there were two thematic axes: leadership effectiveness and ethics. As part of the findings, two emerging thematic axes were considered: financial performance, which is part of the hard results, and perception of effectiveness, as part of the soft results. The factors that influence the effectiveness of female leadership were classified according to the levels of analysis of the social sciences: micro, meso and macro. It was found that most of the factors may or may not be favorable, depending on the organizational and / or social context in which they occur. Meanwhile, the leadership style that most favors the effectiveness of female leaders is androgynous, which incorporates masculine and feminine characteristics. Ethics were also found to be cross-cutting and affect both hard and soft outcomes. Ethics is favorable for female leadership as long as the factors that affect it at the meso and macro levels are taken into account.eng
