Depression is a common mental disorder throughout the world that affects more than 300 million people and is considered the main global cause of disability, (1) Suicide is considered the most serious complication of this disorder since they die a year around 800,000 people in the world and the most affected age range is between 15 and 29 years. (2) For this reason it is considered a global health problem and the importance of nursing care interventions in the population with depression, both in the prevention and in the treatment of people with this mental disorder. The present study aimed to analyze worldwide literature on non-pharmacological interventions for people with depressive symptoms, by searching for articles indexed by the Eureka search engine, in the Scopus, Clinical Key, PubMed, Scielo, Sciencedirect and EBSCOhost databases from the year 2016 to year 2020, with the keywords depression, nursing, nursing care, intervention in the English and Spanish languages, trying to answer the research question What scientific evidence is found on non-pharmacological interventions for people with depressive symptoms and are the results of these interventions performed by Nursing?, this search yielded a total of 33 articles in which it was evidenced that in recent years non-pharmacological interventions for people with symptoms of depression are relevant, mostly mediated by cognitive behavioral therapy, the inclusion of technological means in treatment processes and interventions r carried out by nursing professionals in the field of primary care.eng
