dc.description.abstractEl objetivo de este trabajo es elaborar una revisión teórica acerca de los factores que se han relacionado con la insatisfacción de la imagen corporal, la relación de éstos con los desórdenes alimenticios y los avances en el abordaje terapéutico de estos últimos; para esto se tienen en cuenta las diferencias entre los factores que influyen en la insatisfacción de los hombres y de las mujeres respecto a su cuerpo, se esbozan factores relacionados con la cultura y se expone también la relación que guarda la insatisfacción corporal en el desarrollo de lo desórdenes alimenticios y finalmente, algunos de los avances a nivel terapéutico que han sido propuestos para intervenir esta problemática.es_CO
