dc.description.abstract | Twitter conforma la gama de las nuevas plataformas y tecnologías digitales que permiten instantáneamente la difusión en línea de fragmentos cortos de datos de una variedad de fuentes oficiales y no oficiales (Hermida, 2010). Sin embargo, este microblog se diferencia de los demás por su carácter informativo, dado que se transformó en una plataforma que ayuda a organizar y difundir información durante eventos importantes como los incendios forestales de California en 2008, las elecciones presidenciales estadounidenses de 2008, los ataques de Mumbai y las protestas electorales iraníes de 2009 (Lenhard & Fox, 2009). Además, la red social les permite a los usuarios construir socialmente las noticias por fuera de los sistemas operativos de los medios tradicionales y sumergirse en ambientes informativos complejos que hacen parte del ecosistema de medios digitales (Hermida, 2013). | spa |
