This column continues the dialogue, begun
in the previous issue of Nursing Science
Quarterly (Fawcett, Lavoie, & Shyu, 2007),
about nursing, healthcare, and culture in the
year 2050. The content of each dialogue
should help all of us to better understand
how culture might inform the advancement
of nursing in particular and healthcare in
general in the year 2050. I hope you will
continue to agree with me that the dialogues
are informative and raise issues that challenge all of us who are committed to the
advancement of nursing to remain optimistic
about the future of nursing and healthcare
and persevere in our collaborations with
other nurses and other stakeholders in healthcare worldwide.
