dc.description.abstract | La demencia se ha convertido en una prioridad de salud pública, debido al envejecimiento poblacional y el impacto en la calidad de vida de las personas con esta condición de salud y de sus familias (WHO, 2012). Desde el Enfoque Bioético y del Cuidado Centrado en la Persona, insta al respeto de la autonomía de la persona con demencia a pesar del deterioro cognitivo (Downs, 2013; Pereira Pérez, 2011; Saavedra Estupiñán, 2014). La autonomía se manifiesta en la manera en que las personas toman decisiones en función de su contexto psicosocial. En la experiencia de vivir con demencia, donde se incluyen las interacciones con cuidadores familiares y profesionales de la salud, se presentan momentos en los cuales, es necesario tomar decisiones; por lo tanto, el objetivo de esta investigación fue comprender la toma de decisiones cotidianas, relacionadas con la salud, la planeación del cuidado y las disposiciones para el final de la vida de las personas con demencia por Enfermedad de Alzheimer en etapa leve y personas con trastorno neurocognitivo leve, asistentes al Servicio de Neurología de la Unidad de Servicios de Salud Occidente de Kennedy. | es_CO |
