dc.description.abstract | La filosofía de la química se reconoce como una rama de la filosofía de la ciencia, la cual sido un campo de discusión y desarrollo a lo largo de los últimos 40 años. Una de las grandes preocupaciones, si no es acaso la más grande, de la filosofía de la química es la relación entre física y química, en particular el asunto de la reducción versus la independencia de la química con respecto a la física. Precisamente, acerca de este interrogante es sobre lo que ha de versar todo el trabajo que será encontrado a continuación de estas breves palabras introductorias. ¿Es la química tan solo una sub-disciplina de la física? O ¿es la física la única ciencia que puede dar la explicación última de la realidad? Una pregunta que subyace a las dos preocupaciones anteriores, por la cual se han inclinado una cantidad considerable de filósofos de la ciencia y que parece un tema ineludible es acerca de la posibilidad de que la química pueda ser reducida a la física. Esta interrogante será el punto de partida para la exposición del presente trabajo. Tan solo la formulación de una pregunta de tal índole parece tener una tensión implícita: en una esquina, se halla la idea de que todos los fenómenos de la realidad son, en última instancia, fenómenos físicos. Esta es la corriente del fisicalismo puro. Y si el fisicalismo puro es cierto, entonces todos los fenómenos de la naturaleza tienen la posibilidad de ser explicados por la ciencia que especifica las leyes y las teorías con respecto a este tipo de fenómenos, es decir, la física | es_CO |
