dc.description.abstractEn el presente trabajo se analizaron las diferentes variables que influyen en la adherencia al tratamiento de enfermedades crónicas tales como el VIH y el SIDA. Varios estudios han comprobado que para ello es necesario un trabajo interdisciplinar, es decir, se debe dar desde un enfoque biopsicosocial con el fin de poder brindar un apoyo integral y eficaz a personas que viven con el virus. Se encontró un acuerdo entre teóricos, en cuanto a que los factores influyentes en la adherencia son: Creencias culturales, red de apoyo, enfermedades psicopatológicas, entre otros. Es claro, que si estas son tenidas en cuenta, la adherencia al tratamiento será adecuada y, por ende, se optimizará la calidad de vida de los pacientes.es_CO
