dc.description.abstractInvestigaciones recientes en campos como la economía, la psicología experimental y la neurociencia han demostrado la importancia de estudiar los procesos cognoscitivos para entender cómo tomamos decisiones (Soloway & Botvinick, 2012; Yoon, y otros, 2012; Zak, 2004; Kahneman & Tversky, 1979). Estos hallazgos resaltan la importancia de tener en cuenta el cerebro al estudiar los mecanismos y distintos niveles de información involucrados en la toma de decisiones. De acuerdo a Stanton, Day y Welpe (2010), las áreas no conscientes pueden procesar 200,000 veces más información que las áreas conscientes del cerebro. Por esta razón, uno de los temas que ha despertado mayor interés es el procesamiento automático (no consciente) de información.
