2024Resumen
This chapter presents the results of a study carried out in schools and universities in Colombia, with a twofold purpose: (a) to identify the factors of success, sustainability and inadequacy that may have favoured and/or hindered the efficient implementation of CLIL, and (b) to determine horizons for teacher training in Colombia and the region. The study follows a mixed methods approach and makes use of semi-structured questionnaires, interviews and focus groups. The study aims to update the state of the art in the field, while shedding light on policy construction, design, implementation and quality assurance services for teacher education institutions and agents interested in improving bilingual education and CLIL. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.
