dc.description.abstract​​INTRODUCCION: La fibrilación auricular tiene una incidencia mayor cada día. El aislamiento de venas pulmonares constituye uno de los pilares de tratamiento actuales para los pacientes con fibrilación auricular paroxísticas. Se introdujo hace 2 años la utilización de catéteres de radiofrecuencia con tecnología de censado de fuerza de contacto. METODOS: Se describe las características de una serie de casos de pacientes con FAP llevados a AVP en la Fundación CardioInfantil (FCI) con tecnología de catéteres con CFC en el período de mayo 2014 a mayo 2015. RESULTADOS: Se documentó como factor de riesgo en la población de estudio a la Hipertensión Arterial. No se demostró ninguna asociación estadísticamente significativa para determinar la causalidad de la recurrencia. Se describió una recurrencia arrítmica (FA/AFL) en el 9% de los pacientes luego de 1 año de seguimiento post AVP. CONCLUSIONES: Se describió que los CFC son seguros, no implican aumento en la tasa de complicaciones relacionadas al AVP y que en comparación al AVP con catéteres sin CFC se disminuyó la duración del procedimiento y el tiempo de radio exposición. Se describió en todos los casos la ITF objetivo de 400 g/segundo fue ampliamente superada.es_CO
