El concepto de la voluntad libre en la Introducción a los Principios de la filosofía del derecho de G.W.F. Hegel

Abstract

Llevamos a cabo la reconstrucción de algunos momentos centrales en la argumentación hegeliana referentes al concepto de la “voluntad libre”. Al mismo tiempo se efectúa una crítica –a partir de los argumentos del mismo Hegel– de lo que Hegel llama “arbitrio”. Tal crítica es extensiva tanto al entendimiento kantiano como a la libertad liberal. Lo anterior nos permite sostener que el concepto de voluntad libre es un principio fundamental de la filosofía práctica de Hegel.

The objective of this paper is to reconstruct of some of the key moments in the Hegelian argument on the notion of “free will”. At the same time, it is a critique –based on Hegel’s arguments– of what he called “arbitrary will”. The authors extend their critique to both the Kantian understanding and the idea of liberal freedom, arguing that the concept of free will is a fundamental principle in the practical philosophy of Hegel.
