La bioética y el catecismo de la iglesia católica

Abstract

A pesar de sus pocos años de existencia, la Bioética ha adquirió un desarrollo excepcional y un interés central en el pensamiento filosófico, científico jurídico de nuestros días. Como ocurre con toda una nueva disciplina, la Bioética necesita definir con exactitud los límites de su objeto específico estudio y su propia fundamentación.El presente trabajo analiza, desde una perspectiva filosófica los anteriores problemas a la vez que ofrece los aportes del Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica.A tal efecto, propone la primacía de la ética frente a la ciencia; señala la necesidad de que ciencia y técnica estén puestas al servicio del hombre que les ha dado origen y crecimiento; reconoce la dignidad personal de que goza el cuerpo humano por ser elemento constitutivo de la persona; destaca la condición de la persona humana y el respeto a la vida como don de Dios. Este respeto absoluto de la vida humana, desde su inicio hasta su fin natural, señala que la biotecnología jamás puede moralmente franquear.

In spite of its few years of existence, bioethics has had an exceptional development and a central interest in the philosophical, scientific and juridical thought of these day. As it happens whit every new discipline, Bioethics needs to define exactly the limits of its specific study objects and its own fundamentals.From a philosophical perspective, this work analyses the former as well as it provides the contributions of the Catholic Church Cathecism.For such an aim, it proposes the primacy of Ethics over Science; it points out the fact that Science and Technique are at service of man who has given the origin and growth; it recognizes the personal dignity which the human body enjoys as it is a constitutive element of the person; it draws attention to the condition of the human person ant the life respect as a God´s gift. This absolute respect to human life, from is beginning to its natural end, shows the boundary that Biotechnology never can morally pass.
