dc.description.abstract | Cada vez es mas difícil ignorar el gran interés hacia el cuidado y mantenimiento del medio ambiente, estimulado por las perspectivas negativas de sostenibilidad, el modelo global de industrialización que ha llevado a una situación de escases de recursos naturales y aumento de la contaminación ambiental. En 2018 el Banco Mundial proyectó que “Los desechos a nivel mundial crecerán un 70 % para 2050” previendo que en los próximos 30 años el volumen de desechos aumentara de 2.010 millones de toneladas (2016) a 3.400 millones, consecuencia de la deficiente gestión de los residuos (Banco Mundial, 2018). El modelo actual de producción y consumo, de productos y servicios es conocido como Economía Lineal (EL), desarrollada sin visión de futuro y sin conciencia sobre el reciclaje y renovación, tomando recursos naturales, transformándolos y finalmente desechándolos (Gulseven & Mostert, 2017). Este modelo no es sostenible en el largo plazo, ya que al no garantizar que las materias primas utilizadas cumplan una función continua y sean reutilizadas en nuevos procesos, amplia el volumen de materiales desechados que podrían ser regenerados (Ellen MacArthur Foundation, 2011). | es_CO |
