La infección por SARS CoV-2 se caracteriza por una afección multisistémica en la etapa aguda, impactando de forma negativa en la funcionalidad de los pacientes. La rehabilitación temprana se basa en la prevención y manejo de complicaciones agudas, favoreciendo la funcionalidad y calidad de vida a largo plazo. Objetivo: Describir las intervenciones de rehabilitación que se ofrecieron a los sujetos adultos que cursaron con infección por COVID-19 y requirieron manejo intrahospitalario en Clínica Universidad de La Sabana, en Chía, Colombia. Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un análisis descriptivo de las características sociodemográficas y clínicas, así como de las intervenciones de rehabilitación recibidas durante la estancia hospitalaria. Introduction: SARS CoV-2 infection is characterized by a multisystemic condition in the acute
stage, negatively impacting the functionality of patients. Early rehabilitation is based on the
prevention and management of acute complications, favoring long-term functionality and quality
of life.
Objective: To describe the rehabilitation interventionsthat were offered to adult subject who had
SARS CoV-2 infection and required hospital management.
Methodology: A descriptive analysis of the sociodemographic and clinical characteristics was
carried out, as well as the rehabilitation interventions received during the hospital stay.
Results: Most of the subjects evaluated by physiatry received intervention by some therapeutic
modality, being physical therapy the most prescribed. Population hospitalized in the ICU were
those who received the most rehabilitation intervention.
Conclusion: Patients received early integral rehabilitation intervention, during their hospital stay.
