2018Abstract
The present cultural context, which is described as post-secular, brings to the fore the question of the religious condition of the human being. The philosophy of religion, based on a phenomenological and hermeneutical study of religious experience, shows that the truthfulness of religious experience cannot be sustained without considering the eventual manifestation of the divine (upward movement). The philosophy of religion, in its resolutive procedure, shows the impossibility of an autonomous foundation of religion. This foundation could be constructed within a contemporary theology of revelation (downward movement). This helps to illustrate that authentic human religiosity is an openness to the Revelation of the one true God.
