The main purpose of this project is to analyze the existing relations between stereotypes, social media, and plastic surgery and the effect that this causes on the conception of ”beauty”. Television is one of the most influential social tools that has allowed it. 5 Beauty is a concept that can hardly be defined since it can vary according to the conception of a society, an individual, a culture, etc. However, at present we have high impact media such as television and social networks, where information of massive scope is disseminated and with very few limits. Although television was a great technological advance, today it works as a tool for mass dissemination of information that reinforces and distributes different concepts in society. The concept of beauty through television has been forged according to what this media outlet has been in charge of showing. Beauty resembling mainly women has always been forged taking into account physical traits and leaving aside capabilities, which has created and established certain patterns in society that determine whether a woman is beautiful or not.
