Mobile blended learning: a strategical approach to strengthen the learning of English as a Foreign Language

Nowadays Young people are part of a generation that is in constant communication on different social networks, listens to music, surfs the net, or plays through mobile devices (MD) such as cell phones. This opens up many possibilities for including MD in teachinglearning processes. The study objectives and research question focused on exploring the contributions of a blended learning environment mediated by the use of mobile devices in the development of listening - speaking skills of English as a foreign language in ninth grade students of a school public in Bogotá. The learning experience included the use of the “Lyrics Training” and “WhatsApp” applications as part of a set of activities that were carried out both in the classroom and at home, as independent work.
