%X This article aims to analyze the influence  the normative category of legal principles  has  had  in  the  Colombian  constitutional  law  and  how  it  has  transformed  the  theory  and  practice  of  contemporary  constitutional  law.  In  addition, a forgotten issue  in the contemporary theory of legal principles arises:  the  ultimate  foundation  of  the  normative  force  of  the  principles.    Thus,  it  is  offered as a final answer, barely glimsed, that human dignity is the foundation of the ius constitutional requirements contained in legal principles.
%X El presente artículo tiene por objeto hacer un análisis de la influencia que la  categoría  normativa  de  los  principios  jurídicos  ha  tenido  en  el  derecho  constitucional  colombiano  y  la  manera  como  ha  transformado  la  teoría  y  la  práctica  del  derecho  constitucional  contemporáneo.  Además,  se  plantea  una  cuestión  olvidada  en  la  teoría  contemporánea  de  los  principios  jurídicos:  el  fundamento  último  de  la  fuerza  normativa  de  los  principios.  Así,  se  ofrece  como respuesta final, apenas entrevista, que la dignidad humana constituye el cimiento de las exigencias iusconstitucionales contenidas en los principios jurídicos.
