abstract = {La hospitalización en una unidad de cuidados intensivos genera sentimientos encontrados, ansiedad e incertidumbre no solo en el paciente sino en la familia, es de vital importancia que el profesional de enfermería incluya dentro de sus intervenciones a la familia y cuidador como sujeto de cuidado, puesto que en ellos también repercute esta nueva situación generadora de estrés. El presente proyecto se llevará a cabo en una institución de 4 nivel de complejidad, su esencia estará fundamentada en la teoría de Merle Mishel, quien describe cuatro formas de incertidumbre: ambigüedad, complejidad, falta de información y falta de predicción. Por medio de un cuestionario inicial se identificaron las necesidades de la familia y/o cuidador del paciente hospitalizado en UCI, posterior a eso, se diseñó y aplicó una herramienta digital informativa dirigida a los familiares y cuidadores, la cual contiene algunos temas desconocidos para esta población, finalmente se realizó la aplicación de un cuestionario evaluativo de la estrategia educativa, en donde se evalúa la claridad, el diseño y el lenguaje de dicha herramienta. Finalmente se identificaron necesidades en los familiares y cuidadores, dirigidas a la falta de conocimiento con respecto a algunas intervenciones del sistema de cuidado del paciente, manifestando que conocer y tener una mayor claridad de estos temas, les podría ayudar a disminuir los sentimientos de incertidumbre. La herramienta digital fue una estrategia clara, entendible y con un adecuado lenguaje.},
abstract = {Hospitalization in an intensive care unit generates mixed feelings, anxiety and 
uncertainty not only in the patient but also in the family. It is of vital importance that 
the nursing professional includes the family and caregiver as a subject of care in 
their interventions, since this new stress-generating situation also affects them. 
This project will be carried out in an institution with 4 levels of complexity, its 
essence will be based on Merle Mishel's theory, who describes four forms of uncertainty: ambiguity, complexity, lack of information and lack of prediction. 
Through an initial questionnaire, the needs of the family and/or caregiver of the 
patient hospitalized in the ICU were identified, after that, an informative digital tool 
aimed at family members and caregivers was designed and applied, which 
contains some unknown topics for this population, finally the application of an 
evaluative questionnaire of the educational strategy was carried out, where the 
clarity, design and language of said tool are evaluated. Finally, needs were 
identified in family members and caregivers, aimed at the lack of knowledge 
regarding some interventions of the patient care system, stating that knowing and 
having greater clarity on these issues could help them reduce feelings of 
uncertainty. The digital tool was a clear, understandable strategy with an adequate 
language. In conclusion, the greatest stimulus of uncertainty is the ignorance of 
the environment and the care system that is applied to the patient, for this reason, 
it is important to continue working on the application of this educational strategy, 
to evaluate the impact with respect to the modulation of uncertainty in relatives and 
caregivers of patients hospitalized in the adult intensive care unit.},
