abstract = {We seem to live in a time of omnipresent images. Guy_x000D_
Debord’s diagnosis about the becoming image of reality pronounced_x000D_
in the late 1960s still seems to be relevant to describe our time. We_x000D_
have reached the point when it is not surprising to have images of the_x000D_
extraordinary but not having them. The connection between_x000D_
extraordinary events and images seems natural today. However, it_x000D_
could be still legitimate to ask what can images do regarding those_x000D_
events? What can photography do when facing the unimaginable? In_x000D_
this text, we would like to present three cases that could serve, and_x000D_
actually have been used, to reply this inquiry about the possible relation_x000D_
between photography and the event},

onipresente. O diagnóstico de Guy Debord, em meados de 1960,_x000D_
sobre a imagem vindoura da realidade, parece ser relevante para_x000D_
descrever a contemporaneidade. Chegamos ao ponto em que o_x000D_
surpreendente não é a imagem do extraordinário, mas a falta dela._x000D_
Hoje, a conexão entre eventos extraordinários e imagens parece ser_x000D_
natural. Entretanto, ainda seria legítimo questionar o que as imagens_x000D_
podem fazer em relação a tais eventos? O que a fotografia pode fazer_x000D_
frente ao inimaginável? Neste texto, gostaríamos de apresentar três_x000D_
