abstract = {Objetivo: Reconocer el rol del profesional de enfermería en el quehacer, apoyo, orientación e intervenciones en el cuidado de niños y niñas con obesidad y sobrepeso. Introducción: Se resalta el rol del profesional de enfermería en la atención integral y autónoma a través del cuidado de la salud, identificando y generando soluciones que promueven la salud y prevengan la obesidad y el sobrepeso en niños y niñas en edad escolar. Metodología: Se realizó una revisión de literatura por medio de la búsqueda de la mejor evidencia en bases de datos tales como EBSCO, SCIELO, MedLine, Dialnet, Science Direct, ProQuest, Redalyc, enfermería al día, entre otros donde se utilizaron palabras clave como “enfermería escolar”, “rol del profesional”, “obesidad infantil”, “calidad de vida” e “impacto de la obesidad”. Adicionalmente, se realizaron criterios de inclusión basados en el idioma (español, inglés, portugués, ruso) y la indexación (solo artículos indexados). En total se seleccionaron 50 los cuales fueron leídos, analizados y posteriormente se eligieron 26 que contienen la información más relevante sobre el tema a tratar.},
abstract = {Objective: To recognize the role of the nursing professional in providing support, guidance and interventions in the care of children who are obese and overweight. Introduction: The role of the nursing professional in the integral and autonomous attention through health care is highlighted, identifying and generating solutions that promote health and prevent obesity and overweight in school-age children. Methodology: A literature review was conducted by searching for the best evidence in databases such as EBSCO, SCIELO, MedLine, Dialnet, Science Direct, ProQuest, Redalyc, Enfermería al día, among others where key words such as "school nursing", "role of the professional", "child obesity", "quality of life" and "impact of obesity" were used. Additionally, inclusion criteria were made based on language (Spanish, English, Portuguese, Russian) and indexation (indexed articles only). A total of 50 were selected which were read, analyzed and then 26 were chosen which contain the most relevant information on the topic to be addressed. Conclusion: The role of the nurse in the area of school and community health allows for interventions in health promotion and disease prevention by decreasing the rates of obesity and/or overweight and promoting the implementation of healthy living habits.},
