This article is a heteronomous approach to the process of writing and re-writing (reading) the news in the concert of media synergy and the world informative disorder. New technology is “of” rather than “for” information. From Gutenberg to the present, what has survived us as journalists is the written word.Since using one word for another can change how the world is viewed and, therefore, help to transform it, the assumption is that information highways are language highways keyed to a technology: new news, new journalistic discourse in (for) new recipients, new spaces and new informative times.; Este artículo es un acercamiento heterónomo a los procesos de escritura y re-escritura (lectura) de la noticia en el concierto de la sinergia mediática y el des-orden informativo mundial.

The study focuses on the first stirrings of Generation X: How it emerged with its indolence and lack of expectation for future, with no anchor in the past, and with an insipid, colorless present. The author defines what is meant by Generation X from the 50’s to the 90’s, then offers a brief look at the historical development of the ideas that provoked and allowed for a generation of this type.

The article examines how two major Colombian networks: RCN and Caracol, approach the children’s television audience in the Falla Bernal district in the city of Neiva (Huila Department), an area where most of the residents are victims of forced displacement. A quantitative study was designed initially to show the type of television reception and possession, followed by a qualitative study to describe and explain the children’s television audience in light of the programming being offered (in 2008). Access to television was found to be limited as a result of signal failures, the fact that not many homes have a television set, and the availability of only five local channels (two private and three public; there are no subscription-based television services). In addition, parents were found to be more permissive when it comes to allowing children to watch the violence portrayed in the cartoon segment, given the real-life violence in their own neighborhood. The television screen is said to be foreign to the context of children’s lives, since the language they hear on television is less aggressive compared to the sexual, drug-related and other types of violence youngsters are exposed to.; Este artículo presenta el acercamiento a la audiencia televisiva de la franja infantil de los canales RCN y Caracol (programación del año 2008) en el barrio Falla Bernal de Neiva, Huila, asentamiento de población víctima del desplazamiento forzado.

The article explains what the World Internet Project (WIP) is and why Dr. Jeffrey Cole’s initiative is so relevant. It also compares some of the results of the WIP-Mexico study in 2009 to the results of several major research projects on the Internet in Mexico. In several sections, the authors present information from some of these studies, without taking into account the results of WIP-Mexico, which did not focus on the same variables. The idea is to offer a broad perspective of how the Internet has developed in the country.; El artículo explica qué es el World Internet Project (WIP) y por qué resulta tan relevante la iniciativa emprendida por el doctor Jeffrey Cole.
