The late-onset SLE (or SLE of the elderly) represents 6 to 20% of the cases, and its clinical course is described as a more benign disease and with low relapse rates. The main clinical manifestations of this variant include cutaneous manifestations, xerophtalmia, renal disease, myocarditis, seizures and headaches. We described the clinical manifestations of two patients with SLE in the elderly. Its initial clinical and diagnostic approach is a challenge due to the variety of the manifestations, including cardiovascular, pulmonary, and cutaneous involvement of SLE in this age group. © 2024, Full Universe Integrated Marketing Limited.
