%X El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como finalidad realizar una propuesta de Proyecto Educativo Institucional (PEI) para el Liceo Infantil Chiquillos Creativos, estableciendo la factibilidad de su desarrollo de acuerdo con los requisitos exigidos para la obtención de la Licencia de Funcionamiento con la Secretaría de Educación Distrital -SED Bogotá- y, de ese modo, ampliar el servicio educativo que se tiene actualmente, proyectando ofertar el nivel de preescolar: prejardín, jardín y transición. La investigación emplea el método cualitativodescriptivo, a partir de la aplicación de distintos instrumentos de recolección y análisis. El estudio se llevó a cabo en cuatro etapas principales: en primer lugar, se realizó una observación directa al lugar donde se encuentra ubicado el Liceo Infantil Chiquillos Creativos, en segundo lugar, se aplicó el instrumento de la encuesta a padres de familia, potenciales clientes, docentes y directivos docentes; de manera casi simultánea, se realizaron dos entrevistas semiestructuradas tanto a la directora del Liceo, como a un profesional de la Dirección Local de Educación (DILE) de Puente Aranda. Por último, se adelantó un riguroso proceso de análisis y triangulación de la información cotejando la lista de chequeo con los componentes del PEI provisional que posee la institución educativa.
%X The purpose of this research work is to make a proposal for an Institutional Educational 
Project (PEI) for the Liceo Infantil Chiquillos Creativos by establishing the feasibility of its 
development according to the requirements for obtaining the Operating License from the 
Secretaría de Educación Distrital -SED Bogotá-, and, in this way, to expand the educational 
service that is currently available, planning to offer the preschool level: pre-kindergarten, 
kindergarten and transition. This research uses the qualitative-descriptive methodology, based on 
the application of different collection and analysis instruments. 
 The study was carried out in four main stages. In the first place, a direct observation was 
made to the place where the Liceo Infantil Chiquillos Creativos is located. Subsequently, a 
survey instrument was applied to parents, potential clients, teachers and teaching managers. 
Almost simultaneously, two semi-structured interviews were conducted both with the Liceo´s 
principal and with a professional from the DILE (Dirección Local de Educación de Puente 
Aranda). Finally, a rigorous process of analysis and triangulation of the information was carried 
out, by comparing the checklist with the components of the provisional PEI that the educational 
institution has. 
Based on the result of these processes, a feasibility study was designed in its three main 
phases: operational, technical, and financial, in order to structure a viable PEI proposal for the 
expansion of the educational service to the preschool level: pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and 
transition in this kindergarten.
