%X La tierra de las aves es un cortometraje documental que retrata el estilo de vida y la experiencia de María Nelly Medina, una pajarera de 58 años que encontró su pasión por el mundo de las aves luego de realizarse como profesional. La vida de María Nelly se transforma al querer adentrarse cada vez más en el avistamiento de aves. El documental busca narrar las historias y vivencias de este personaje, como su vida cambia y gira en torno a la naturaleza y su perspectiva de cómo los colombianos deben informarse y preservar la biodiversidad que caracteriza su país. En un inicio este documento buscará exponer los diferentes temas relevantes para la investigación del documental, pues es de importante ahondar en tópicos como: la naturaleza, la biodiversidad de Colombia y la experiencia de María Nelly Medina como personaje principal del audiovisual. Por otro lado, se aclara cómo se llevó a cabo la realización del documental técnicamente, desde las propuestas correspondientes de cada departamento, como el uso de las herramientas digitales que ayudaron a la realización de la animación.
%X La tierra de las aves is a documentary short film that portrays the lifestyle and 
experience of Maria Nelly Medina, a 58 year-old birder who found her passion for the 
world of birds after already making a living out of her career. Maria Nelly’s life is 
transformed after she decides to immerse herself in the activity of birds watching. This 
documentary seeks to narrate the stories and experiences of this character, how her life 
changes and revolves around nature and her perspective of how Colombians should 
inform themselves to preserve the diversity that characterizes its country.
Initially, this document will seek to expose the different relevant topics for the 
investigation of the documentary, since it is important to delve into topics such as nature, 
the biodiversity of Colombia and the experience of Maria Nelly Medina as the main 
character of the audiovisual. On the other hand, it clarifies how the documentary was 
technically developed, with the corresponding proposals of each department, and the 
explanation of the digital tools that helped the realization of the animation.
