%X El cuidador desempeña un rol de gran relevancia para el paciente hospitalizado, impacta de gran manera en el proceso salud enfermedad del paciente y aun mas cuando este es de su entorno familiar, es por ello que se dedica gran esfuerzo a mantener optimas las condiciones y conocimientos para que este sea de impacto positivo en el proceso por el que este cursando su paciente. Existe situaciones en que la incertidumbre es de tal magnitud, que interfiere en los procesos en los que este participa, de allí el compromiso de modular dicha incertidumbre, basados en la teoría de enfermería de Merle Mishel en la que se acusa a la falta de estructura cognitiva, a la ausencia del proveedor de estructura, y a la falta de familiaridad con los eventos como principales causales de incertidumbre, agregándole el desconocimiento de la importancia del rol del cuidador, tal como se refleja en este estudio. De manera que brindando cuidados de enfermería es posible modular dichas situaciones para potenciar el desempeño del cuidador dentro del proceso salud enfermedad en un ámbito hospitalario.
%X The caregiver plays a role of great relevance for the hospitalized patient, it has a 
great impact on the patient's health-disease process and even more so when it is 
from their family environment, that is why great effort is made to maintain optimal 
conditions and knowledge so that this has a positive impact on the process through 
which your patient is studying. There are situations in which the uncertainty is of 
such magnitude that it interferes in the processes in which it participates, hence the 
commitment to modulate said uncertainty, based on Merle Mishel's nursing theory in 
which the lack of structure is accused cognitive, the absence of the provider of
structure, and the lack of familiarity with the events as the main causes of 
uncertainty, adding the ignorance of the importance of the role of the caregiver, as 
reflected in this study. Thus, by providing nursing care, modular situations are 
possible to enhance the caregiver's performance within the health-disease process 
in a hospital setting.
