%X ​En Colombia se han realizado estudios que evidencian la importancia de gestionar la seguridad y la salud en el trabajo para los más jóvenes; las tasas de accidentalidad leve y grave por causas ocupacionales preocupan al gobierno, instituciones y organizaciones que velan por la salud; el Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social mediante el Decreto 055 del 14 de enero de 2015 reglamentó la afiliación de estudiantes al Sistema General de Riesgo Laborales y dictó disposiciones para reorientar esfuerzos a través de la promoción de la salud y la prevención de los riesgos a estudiantes objeto del Decreto en el territorio nacional. Este proyecto busca proponer la inclusión de una catedra en seguridad y salud para el trabajo en el grado noveno de instituciones en el Distrito Capital, con el fin de promover mediante procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje en espacios colaborativos, soluciones que permitan desarrollar en la población estudiantil habilidades y competencias básicas para el autocuidado y cuidado por los demás.
