%X La fortaleza mental es un elemento determinante para el éxito del deportista, sin embargo no se cuenta con instrumentos validos y confiables para población colombiana que permitan medirlo de forma objetiva, por ello el objetivo de la investigación es adaptar y determinar las propiedades psicométricas del Cuestionario de Fortaleza Mental en el Deporte (CFMD) (Jiménez-López, 2019) para población colombiana. Tras la autorización para el uso del CFMD se hizo la revisión del apartado semántico y de lenguaje, así como una revisión por jueces, en donde la versión revisada se aplicó a 292 deportistas. Los resultados mostraron una escala de 3 factores, el reactivo 2 no funciona y se recomienda su eliminación (CFI = 0.956; GFI = 0.966; RMSEA = 0.053), y con ello los índices de fiabilidad de la prueba son altos (Alfa = 0.791; Omega = 0.788; GLB = 0.867). En conclusión se afirma que el CFMD es una prueba válida, confiable y consistente para ser utilizado en población colombiana.
%X Mental toughness is a determining element for the success of athlete’s, however, 
there are no valid or reliable instruments for Colombian population that allow it to be 
measured objectively, therefore the objective of this research is to adapt and determine the 
psychometric properties of the Sports Mental Toughness Questionnaire (SMTQ) (Jiménez López, 2019) for Colombian population. After the authorization for the use of the SMTQ, 
the semantic and language section was reviewed, as well as a review by judges, where the 
revised version was applied to 292 athletes. The results showed a scale of 3 factors, item 2 
does not work and its elimination is recommended (CFI = 0.956; GFI = 0.966; RMSEA =
0.053), and with it the reliability indexes of the test are high (Alfa = 0.791; Omega = 0.788;
GLB = 0.867). In conclusion, it is stated that the SMTQ is a valid, reliable and consistent 
test to be used in the Colombian population.
