abstract = {Esta investigación buscó conocer el impacto de la realización de un semestre universitario en el exterior en el desarrollo de competencias de ciudadanía global en los estudiantes de la Universidad de La Sabana que mantuvieron esta condición y experiencia durante el año 2021, junto con la identificación de las motivaciones que los llevaron a tomar la decisión de realizar la movilidad. Para este propósito, se desarrolló una revisión de referentes a nivel internacional con el fin de determinar qué mediciones de impacto en programas de movilidad se habían generado previamente en otras instituciones, así como el desarrollo de una revisión académica para definir las competencias de ciudadanía global que se tomarían como referente para la medición. El tipo de investigación de este documento corresponde a una investigación mixta que resuelve tener una revisión amplia de un fenómeno desde las percepciones de los participantes en la encuesta, las expresiones recogidas en grupo focal y las inferencias que se pueden hacer sobre los datos cuantitativos de las mismas encuestas. Este tipo de investigación se fundamenta en el diseño de investigaciones fenomenológicas desarrollado por Creswell (1998), Álvarez-Gayou (2003) y Mertens (2005), cuya justificación de estudio pretende describir y entender los fenómenos desde el punto de vista de cada participante y desde el punto de vista colectivo. A fin de lograr los objetivos propuestos, se crearon dos instrumentos para la recolección de datos. Un primer instrumento que consiste en una encuesta conformada por 31 preguntas y un segundo instrumento que es un focus group con 5 preguntas orientadoras.},
abstract = {This research sought to know the impact promoted by the realization of a university semester abroad
in the development of global citizenship competencies in the students at the Universidad de La Sabana who
maintained this condition and experience during the year 2021, along with the identification of the
motivations that led them to make the decision to carry out mobility. For this purpose, a review of different
references at the international level was developed to determine which impact measurements in mobility
programs had already been previously generated in other institutions, as well as the development of an
academic review to define the competencies of global citizenship that would be taken as a reference for
measurement.
The type of research in this document corresponds to mixed research that resolves to have a broad
review of a phenomenon from the qualitative component contained in the survey, the focus group and the
quantitative component of the survey. This type of research is based on the design of phenomenological
research developed by Creswell (1998), Álvarez-Gayou (2003) and Mertens (2005), whose study
justification aims to describe and understand the phenomena from the point of view of each participant and
from the collective point of view.
To achieve the proposed objectives, two instruments for data collection were developed. A first
instrument created was a survey consisting of 31 questions and a second instrument designed was a focus
group with 5 guiding questions. The two instruments aim to know the perception of the students of the
