Para esto, en primera instancia, mediante un análisis PEST, se evalúa el contexto situacional del entorno general actual del Sistema SILOG y se lleva a cabo un análisis de información técnico basado en entrevistas a personajes clave involucrados como usuarios de esta herramienta tecnológica, con el fin de evaluar cómo ha sido el proceso de gestión de servicio. Posteriormente, mediante la aplicación de DOFA y MICMAC, se determinan las variables relevantes y se diseña una matriz que permite la descripción técnica de cada uno se los servicios para obtener un catálogo, el cual permite agrupar, categorizar y visualizar todas las funcionalidades que permiten satisfacer las demandas de los clientes; en este caso, la Fuerza Pública.}, abstract = {The aim of the present work is to determine and expose from a technical and managerial point of view, the true potential of the National Defense Logistics Information System (SILOG), [by its acronym in Spanish]. As, on the one hand, so far some parts of it are unknown to many in key areas in the institutional and governmental decision-making, and on the other, so that it be not only used as a tool for the administration of high-value assets that make up the defense and sovereignty of our nation, but also so that, depending on the management of service and customer satisfaction, it allows for accurate and timely decision-making, value generation, and analysis of the efficiency of strategies. For this, in the first instance, through a PEST analysis, the situational context of the current general environment of the SILOG System is evaluated, followed by an analysis of technical information based on interviews with key characters involved as users of this technological tool and thus assess how has been the service management process. Consequently, through the application of DOFA and MICMAC, the relevant variables are determined and a matrix is designed that allows the technical description of each of the services to obtain a catalog of services, which allows grouping, categorizing and displaying all the technical services that allow satisfying the demands of the clients, in this case the Military Forces and the National Police. The conclusions of this paper allow confirming that the information systems fulfill the mission of administrating data, but the importance of an engineering manager is rather to keep a broader context of usability and applicability of the information that is generated. And in this way to optimize decision making and continuous innovation of new concepts in generating solutions for the imposed challenges coming from resource optimization and society. As in the case of the Infrastructure Library of Information technologies [from now on ITIL] having everyday more adepts for decision-making in optimizing engineering companies.}, publisher = {Universidad de La Sabana}, title = {Aplicación de los principios de gerencia de ingeniería en la optimización del uso del sistema de información logística SILOG para la toma de decisiones en el sector defensa}, author = {Bocarejo Bautista, Elizabeth}, }
