abstract = {The present article is about cyberspace as a place where war confrontations take place that must be regulated by international law. At present, there are different rules created to regulate the behavior of those who participate in armed conflicts and to avoid causing the least damage to those who do not intervene in them. This leads to the question of whether different norms are required in order to control the actions that in terms of armed conflicts occur in this virtual space. Therefore, the author analyzes various norms of international humanitarian law, customary international humanitarian law and jurisprudence emanating from different international tribunals to demonstrate that the current norms of international humanitarian law are applicable to conflicts that take place in cyberspace.},
abstract = {El presente artículo aborda el tema del ciberespacio como un lugar donde ocurren confrontaciones bélicas que deben ser reguladas mediante el derecho internacional. En la actualidad, existen una serie de normas creadas para regular el comportamiento de quienes participan en los conflictos armados y evitar causar el mínimo de daños a aquellas personas que no intervienen en ellos. Esto lleva a preguntarse si se requiere de unas normas distintas a las ya existentes para controlar las acciones que en términos de conflictos armados ocurren en este espacio virtual. Por ello, el autor analiza diversas normas del derecho internacional humanitario (DIH), del derecho internacional humanitario consuetudinario y la jurisprudencia emanada de distintos tribunales internacionales para demostrar que las actuales normas del DIH son aplicables a los conflictos que tienen lugar en el ciberespacio.},
