abstract = {El presente trabajo analiza el rol de la Iglesia católica colombiana en los diálogos de paz en La Habana entre el Gobierno Nacional y las FARC (2012-2016). La Iglesia, siguiendo la línea trazada desde la década de los ochenta, ha apoyado la salida negociada del conflicto armado, razón por la cual participó en las negociaciones de La Habana. Sin embargo, en esta ocasión su papel se limitó a facilitar los encuentros entre las partes, mediar en los momentos de crisis y coordinar la convocatoria de víctimas para las visitas de las delegaciones en Cuba. En la investigación se acudió a dos conceptos del neo institucionalismo histórico desarrollados por James Mahoney: trayectoria dependiente y cambio institucional, para analizar el papel de la Iglesia católica en los diálogos. Lo anterior, se apoyó en una serie de entrevistas realizadas a actores relevantes de las negociaciones de paz en La Habana.},
abstract = {This paper analyzes the role of the Colombian Catholic Church in the peace talks in
Havana between the National Government and FARC guerrilla (2012-2016). The Church,
following the line drawn since the eighties, has supported the end of the armed conflict,
which is the reason of its participation in the negotiations in Havana. However, on this
occasion, the Church’s role was limited to facilitating meetings between the parties,
mediating in moments of crisis and coordinating the summons of victims for their visit to
Cuba. On this research two concepts of historical neo-institutionalism developed by
James Mahoney were used: path-dependence and institutional change, in order to analyze
the role of the Catholic Church in the dialogues. The above was supported by a series of
interviews with relevant actors of the peace negotiations in Havana.},
