The data collection methods used were the participant observation and the semi-structured interview. After analyzing the information recorded, it is shown that students identify the characteristics of verbal and non-verbal communication and link them to their social behavior at school; thus, the article acknowledges the importance of communication and coexistence habits learned at home and which, together with those acquired at school, become patterns that guide their behavior. This favors the understanding of coexistence processes in schools.}, publisher = {Actualidades Pedagógicas}, keywords = {Acto comunicativo}, keywords = {Comunicación verbal}, keywords = {Comunicación no verbal}, keywords = {Convivencia}, keywords = {Patrones}, title = {Comunicación verbal y no verbal en una institución educativa distrital y su relación con los procesos de convivencia escolar}, doi = {10.19052/ap.3666}, author = {Romero Rodríguez, Olga Lucía and Sierra Alonso, Santiago and Galindo Parra, María Jackelinn and Vaca Vaca, Martha Patricia}, }
